Obama is not Black! November 17th, 2008

I haven’t lived in United States, and I haven’t experienced what blacks have gone through. I’ve just heard that Dr. King had a dream. But with all respect, I think saying Obama is black is kind of racist! When you say he’s black, means you “see” him black, and so you see one other as white, the other one as yellow, Asian, whatever. You see “colors”, not simply human. It reminds me of an episode of South Park, where Chef was angry with South Park flag: a black being hanged! But some others said that was history and they shouldn’t change it. Then children were divided into two groups, one pro changing flag and one against it. Then in some point Chef was angry with the group who said the flag was history and they shouldn’t change it, but he realized that they don’t even “see” it as a black being hanged. And that’s the point.
Obama is the president of intellectuals, president elect of educated layer of society. Those who value thinking and knowledge, who believe in the power of intelligence and hard-working. Obama is not black as much as Bush is not white. Their ideas and what they represent matters, not their color or origin.

The Ugly Face of Ignorance September 15th, 2007

Ignorance is the ugliest, bitterest, most awful feeling in our lives, taking away so many beautiful pleasures of your life which you’ll probably never even get informed of.

I was reading some words, and I reached Clandestine, there from to sly:

1. Adept in craft or cunning
2. Lacking or marked by a lack of candor

3. Playfully mischievous; roguish
.

And then it reminded me of Slytherin in Harry Potter books, and there was a bitter sense that if my English verbal abilities were stronger, I could enjoy more, even from such negligible, small enjoyments of discovering the origin of the Rolling-made words, in a just-for-fun child book. And I need not mentioning of my very strong desire of reading books such as Ulysses by James Joyce, which I really dare not go for.

back to school time August 5th, 2007

Suddenly got this nostalgia for my school-mates. One of our school mates, Seyed Mehdi MirArabShaahi, is in jail for his political activities, and now we are trying to write a letter to the head of our organization, NODET (national organization for development of extra terrestrial ;) (exceptional talents)), and ask him to do something for his freedom. Mehdi was actually a very close friend of mine in a period of time, and we even studied together.

Anyway, all this passion about his freedom (honestly not that much), and a few photos of old friends, made me to miss all those times. Wish I were closer to more of those guys. It’s also this girl whom I like maybe, who made me this nostalgic. Whatever the reason, it’s good to remember good, talented, old friends.

How many people we miss, all these thousands of kilometers between us, and then when we’re close together, we forget being with each other, forget to speak, and to express our feelings….

What dream may come…. for us! * October 14th, 2006

What is going to happen in Iran and what is in minds (if any) of Islamic Regime key persons is an ambiguous mystery.

Some weeks ago, what came in news, made me conclude that eventually the group who’ve AhmadiNejad as their representative -though not exactly the key person, as he’s just a puppet being played with by the puppeteers behind the scene- has decided to suspend enrichment and start negotiations, even with United States. Even I heard that they’ve announced a problem or something like that in the nuclear plants, which will make them to stop enriching Uranium for about a year and they’ve reached this point through discussion with Russia. I also concluded that they’ve eliminated all the other domestic forces -which they’ve truly done- and so they’re preparing for talks with United States and telling them that they’re the only remaining important group inside Iran which US can talk to.

But then, last week I heard that in a meeting between high rank key persons of regime, such as Khamene’yi (the leader), AhmadiNejad (our famous, beloved Monkey), Rafsanjani (former president and an important character in nearly all the years after revolution), and some others such as military (Sepah) generals, they’ve discussed the issue and there was only Rafsanjani who asked them to suspend enrichment, start talks with western countries and US, try to take more and more advantages from them and prohibit a severe condition such as a militaristic confrontation or economical sanctions. But what did actually happen, was that no one else than him, agreed on those words, and at the end of the meeting Rafsanjaani asked Leader, Khamene’yi, that he has said what he should have, and asked them to write every words of the meeting, sign it, seal it and put it in the shrine of eighth Imam if Shiites in Mashhad city. And they did so.

What Ayatollah Khamen’yi announced some days ago, confirm these news, and the decision being made. There was also this analysis by Abbas Abdi, former member of those students who raided US embassy in first years of revolution and current reformist political analyst, that Iran won’t accept suspension, before two or three levels after sanctions!

Then I read that Eisenhower nuclear powered aircraft carrier has started to move to come to Persian Gulf, and also there are rumors that Independent carrier is going to come back to Persian gulf, too.

Yet, with all these bad news, I think the worse is to come!

*: Title of the post is taken from the movie “what dreams may come

Sanctions: worst to come August 23rd, 2006

Problem of Iran’s nuclear issue is going really complex, and it’s very difficult to anticipate much. The fact is that there are different groups in Iran and the system is ruled unsystematically! Just some days before the so-called foreign minister* said that they may suspend enrichment; then just 2-3 days after that, Khamene’i, as to be said “supreme leader” :)) said that they won’t do it. Then Larijani, head of negotiations proposed “serious talks”, as if they had a stand-up comedy before.

On the other hand it seems that Iran has power in the region and the recent conflicts in Lebanon, even made situation better for Islamic Republic. I think Israel and USA wanted to “clean” Lebanon from Hezbollah, Iran’s apprentices, and then think about the master; but it seems things weren’t exactly like what they expected. And USA hasn’t been able to establish the system they wanted (as it appears) in Iraq and even in Afghanistan, as –especially in Iraq- Islamic Regime of Iran has made a lot of troubles, they give money to Shiites to kill Sunnis and vice versa, so that US will be held there. Yet with all these, it seems that US has a plan and won’t come short of it.

Of course in just few days more will be revealed and we can find out what had been in their minds…. I mean in their skulls!

Anyway, let’s just wait to see what will happen, as we can’t do anything else. But I just had something in mind, that even sanctions won’t be a bad case for Islamic regime. Iran’s parliament has made a rule some months ago that if West uses ways other than diplomacy, especially military, government should leave NPT. Of course there’s no real parliament in Iran and all is just a show. So with this being ready, if sanctions come, they can easily leave NPT and despite all their words on having non-militaristic aims on their nuclear program, easily tell people that they “had to” make bomb, as they wanted to confront foreign threats!

I believe that some major groups in Islamic regime are going to mimic what North Korea did. And it doesn’t need to be written that they don’t think of people at all. Even some months ago, some of them told that “sanctions will even suit us; we had many of our progresses during sanctions.”

As a conclusion, I think sanctions will be the worst case for every one else than Islamic Regime. They’ll make their bomb and so it’ll be a “bad” situation for the world; and the main damage will go for Iranian people, not just by sanctions, but from a more severe dictatorship and so make things “worse” for them.

*: this role in the government, in complete opposition with most of the world, is a ornamental role! As it seems he should just visit here and there; decisions are made in other sources of power.

The Road Not Taken August 7th, 2006

This is famous poem by Robert Frost is my favorite English poem so far:

Two Roads diverged in a yellow wood

The Road Not Taken

To roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the underground

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back,

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and I –
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

That’s exactly what I believe. Life is all about making decisions. Whenever you choose a way, you are completely taken in a path which as long as it passes by, will take you further and further away from where you were standing and making the decision.
Nearly the same idea comes in Quantum physics if I’m correct, of course with some different line of thoughts.

Support for Atheists August 1st, 2006

I wonder if there’s a group to support Atheists of the world. I haven’t had a deep search yet. But I know there’re groups to support Christians, Jews, Bahaiis* and of course Muslims so if there isn’t a group to support Atheists, I think it’s just a great shame.
This came to my mind as I heard that because of instable political conditions in Iran, there’re groups to support different religion believers to take them out of Iran, etc. who knows, maybe that’s a good way after all to be tried!

Our intelligent Government July 30th, 2006

We have a very intelligent government. Some consider Islamic Regime as a not-so-wise regime, if you think so too, I suggest you take a deeper look at current crisis in Lebanon and also extending time for Iran’s nuclear issue in security council up to end of August.

It seems that Israel wasn’t successful in what he wanted to do. And also from the very beginning Islamic Regime said that they won’t answer until end of August, and now they’ve fixed their words. I don’t want to go in details, probably you can get the overall idea.

Generally I believe that Islamic Regime is a very intelligent and wise regime, and not only in foreign issues, but in domestic ones, too. The only problem is that their interests is in complete opposition with most of Iranians, and also rest of the world!
